Hello Dirthogs,
I want to share some important news about work zone safety from our recent press conference in Osseo. As you know, our team’s safety is paramount, and this legislation directly impacts us.
Starting Tuesday, 4/23/24, student drivers in Wisconsin must complete 30 minutes of work zone safety education, which they can now do online and for free. The campaign’s message, “eyes up, phone down, buckle up, and slow down,” aims to promote safer driving practices around work zones.
A nonprofit group, in collaboration with the mother of a road construction worker tragically killed in a work zone crash, Zane Reilly, has launched a new course called “Work Zone Safe Wisconsin.” This course, available to all drivers, focuses on educating young drivers but is open to everyone. It includes videos and quizzes to help drivers understand the importance of work zone safety.
Hoffman Construction was honored to participate in the launch of “Work Zone Safe Wisconsin.” This initiative is not just about following rules; it’s about understanding the people affected by work zone accidents. We must all do our part to keep our roads safe, especially when certain factors are beyond our control.
Let’s continue to prioritize safety in everything we do.
STAY SAFE!
THROWING IT WAY BACK….1950
Nagle-Hart played a significant role as the Cat Dealer in Wisconsin in the 1950s. David Hoffman fondly recalls his father, Dwyane Hoffman, founder of Hoffman Construction, and their relationship with Nagle-Hart.
He remembers picking up Cat parts for their equipment at the Greyhound bus depot in town, highlighting the personal connection and the lengths they went to ensure their machines ran smoothly. This partnership speaks to the longstanding history and quality commitment defining Hoffman Construction.
In a fascinating discovery, an old box used to ship Cat parts was recently found. The intact label on the box dates back to 1950 when it was shipped to Hoffman Construction in Black River Falls. It’s a reminder of the ingenuity of the past, where even essential parts for heavy machinery were transported with care and efficiency, often on the Greyhound bus, showing the dedication to keeping operations running smoothly even in the company’s early days.
