As we welcome October, it’s astonishing to realize that we’ve journeyed through ten months of the 2023 construction season.I am grateful for the unwavering dedication and relentless effort each of you has poured into your work this year. Our industry’s challenges are undeniably demanding, but together, we’ve achieved remarkable success on every project we’ve undertaken.
As we approach the final stretch of 2023, I encourage all our field teams to continue prioritizing safety and delivering exceptional results. HOFFMAN PROJECT UPDATES
Eastbound and Westbound IH 94 Osseo, WI
Started 8/11/ 2022, completion 11/15/2024
Since 2022, notable progress has been made on the IH-94 roadway project, with a 3.5-mile temporary asphalt roadway already laid and eastbound lane reconstructions finishing. 2024 promises an enhanced commuting experience as westbound lanes are set to be rejuvenated, marking the project’s completion by Fall. Engaging a myriad of infrastructural enhancements like new concrete pavements, water management, and robust roadway infrastructure, the endeavor signifies a pivotal step towards safer and more efficient travel through IH-94. We value your continued patience and cooperation during these transformative times.
TUNNEL CITY PROJECT
Started 6/2023, completion 10/2023, approximate quantity of excavation 600,000 CY
Hoffman leadership team extends their gratitude to the dedicated HCC crew for their efforts in “pushing” (pun intended) this project to another year of SAFE production at Tunnel City sand mine!
HOFFMAN UPCOMING PROJECT
WisDOT has selected Hoffman Construction to Construct the Bracket Project Wisconsin IH 94 Westbound and Eastbound. This significant undertaking valued at $70 million is scheduled throughout three seasons, 2024-2026.

HCC Crew Recognition
Hoffman Construction recently celebrated its team’s commitment to safety and dedication at an event attended by 85 individuals from the MLWK job sites, underscoring the company’s values and appreciation for its hardworking crew. President Chris Goss expressed deep gratitude for the team’s efforts, highlighting the company’s family-oriented values. CEO Jim Hoffman discussed the company’s journey from modest beginnings to industry prominence, attributing the success to persistent determination, resilience, and a steadfast commitment to excellence.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Mason Stelter, one of Hoffman’s up and rising project managers, also serves in the Navy Reserves and is set to deploy this month with the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 25 or better known as the Seabees.
The Seabees are a construction unit within the United States Navy with a rich history and a “Can Do!” motto. He will receive extensive job and area specific training in California prior to shipping out.
Mason will take this Navy training and the years of experience he has acquired at Hoffman Construction Co. to Kuwait and the surrounding countries of the Middle East. He will be involved in new construction & reconstruction of military and local infrastructure including roads, schools, water wells, etc.
The Glendale Project Team took a break from work to thank Mason for all he has done at Hoffman and send him off. Hoffman wishes him the best on his deployment and thanks him for his service to America.
