A Message from Brad Eberhardt

VP of Estimating

On average, the team has been putting out two bids per week. We are looking forward to bidding on more work in the last quarter of 2026 and into 2027.

Although our success rate has not been as expected, we are gaining traction, picking up work, and gearing up for a busy construction season next year and into the future.

As bidding opportunities have increased, we have invested more resources in our estimating team to investigate and deliver our estimates. In early summer, Kevin and Mitchell were brought back into the estimating group after their job duties on the operations side of HCC had ended. Both project managers bring estimating experience to the team.

Kyle continues to take on a larger role in both job size and responsibility, having spent the past couple of years earning his stripes by helping the estimating team. We also had an intern (Gabe) come in for the summer and receive training with the survey and estimating groups to help deliver takeoffs and models for the projects we have been looking at.

The estimating team of resolute project managers will continue to pursue opportunities throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, and the Upper Midwest to keep HCC’s talented construction crews and equipment fleet moving. These opportunities will include alternative markets beyond our traditional focus of “building roads.

We’re confident that our investments will lead to successful bids as we fill our estimating schedule with projects we can deliver.

Let’s finish out the rest of the 2026 construction season SAFELY as we look forward to getting next year’s work booked and ready to go.

At Hoffman Construction, we understand the importance of looking out for one another. We work in an industry where SAFETY, teamwork, and helping others are part of what we do every day. Giving blood is another opportunity to put those values into action. You may never know the person who receives your donation, but you can know that you helped someone during one of the most difficult moments of their life.

If you have never donated before, consider giving it a try. If you are already a regular donor, thank you, and consider encouraging a coworker, family member, or friend to join you. Every donor matters, and every donation helps ensure that blood is available when someone needs it most.
