CELEBRATING WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION
Women have been part of Hoffman Construction’s story since the very beginning. When the company was incorporated in 1927, the original stockholders included Duane Hoffman, his mother, Anna Hoffman, and his sister, Thelma Hoffman.
Nearly a century later, that legacy continues.
Across the company, women contribute to operations, safety, administration, and project management. Their work, leadership, and dedication remain an important part of what drives Hoffman Construction forward.
Hoffman Construction also recognized Women in Construction in March, with team members participating in a WIC event hosted by Mortenson Company. The event highlighted the growing role of women across the industry and provided an opportunity for meaningful discussion. During the event, Jim Hoffman shared remarks on the importance of supporting and recognizing women’s contributions in construction, reflecting on the company’s history and the continued expansion of opportunities in the field. Mortenson also noted Hoffman’s strong commitment to including women on its crews, highlighting team members such as Ray Fliflet in quality and Teri Rand in safety.
We would also like to thank Mortenson for inviting our team to take part in the discussion and for their continued partnership. It was a meaningful opportunity to share perspectives, celebrate progress, and recognize the many women who help move our industry forward every day.
