Ian Johnson on Investing in the Next Generation of HCC
Hoffman Construction is committed to developing the next generation of construction workers and leaders. Whether through college summer internships or sponsoring driven individuals through apprenticeship programs, we continue to invest in the future of our workforce.
Our work plays an essential role in building and maintaining public infrastructure, and we understand the importance of having skilled and capable workers—both now and in the years ahead.
Over the years, many interns have passed through our doors and built successful careers with HCC and other industry leaders.
We’re proud to be part of their journey and to support the continued growth of talent in construction.

BRAD'S TAKE: ESTIMATING, WINTER BIDS & WHAT'S AHEAD

Hoffman Construction Company has had a busy winter bidding on projects. Over the past five months, we have secured eight contracts that will help get our crews and equipment back to work.
We’ve also been training our next group of estimators to assist with takeoffs, scout material sources, secure quotes, and help assemble competitive bids to support a successful season and future growth.
Thank you to Kevin, Mitch, Kyle, Mason, Dan, and all the others at HCC who have spent many late nights working hard to put some books on the bookshelves—we know our crews are ready to knock them down.
We’re looking forward to a busy season ahead and even more opportunities for Hoffman to secure work throughout 2025 and beyond.
Crusher Training 2025

We recently held Crusher Training to stay sharp for the season ahead. Crushing is a key part of our work—breaking down rock and material for road building and site prep. Training like this helps ensure our crews are SAFE, efficient, and ready to perform at a high level.
Lane Giese - Racing Forward

Lane, the son of HCC Project Manager Travis Giese, had his world changed one and a half years ago when a motocross accident resulted in the amputation of his left leg.
After nine surgeries and a long road to recovery, Lane refused to let setbacks define his future.
He proved once again that determination and grit can push you to new heights—climbing back to the top of the snow-cross podium!
His relentless spirit is a true testament to what’s possible when hard work meets heart. Lane continues to inspire everyone around him.

Congratulations, Lane, on an incredible achievement!
WTBA AND FORMER PACKERS
Mark Hoffman and former Green Bay Packer Santana Dotson connected at the WTBA annual meeting in Florida!
Always great to hear a champion’s perspective.

LEADING BY EXAMPLE…
At HCC, we take safety seriously—yes, even in the office.
Chris Goss proves that safety is always in style.
2025 GPS TRIMBLE TRAINING

On Thursday, March 14, Allen Johnson led a Trimble GPS training session for the team. The hands-on training helped sharpen skills and ensure we’re ready to hit the ground running this season with confidence and precision.

Skating into Spring with Stella

Stella, daughter of HCC Contract Specialist April Darst, was one of 130 talented skaters who performed in last weekend’s ice show, held on March 21–23.
HCC was proud to support the event, which helped the club continue its great work in the community.
Great Job, Stella!
