Hoffman Construction’s Sturgeon Lake Road Overpass Named APWA Minnesota Public Works Project of the Year

John Jankowski and Mark Hoffman receive Minnesota's APWA award on behalf of Hoffman Construction Hoffman Construction is proud to announce that the Sturgeon Lake Road Overpass Project in Red Wing, Minnesota, has been named the 2025 Public Works Project of the Year (Greater Minnesota Category) by the APWA–Minnesota Chapter.

This award recognizes exceptional achievement in public infrastructure and highlights the teamwork, which was received on behalf of Hoffman by John Jankowski and Mark Hoffman, for the craftsmanship that went into delivering this impactful project.

The Sturgeon Lake Road Overpass was a key safety improvement for the City of Red Wing, designed to enhance mobility, eliminate at-grade railroad interactions, and provide safer travel routes for the community. The project required significant planning and collaboration between Hoffman Construction, the City of Red Wing, project engineers, and multiple agency partners.
